CT ARES Region 3 Net

I had to work late this holiday evening, but remembered to take my Yaesu FT60 HT along.  I was able to check in to the Connecticut ARES Region 3 tonight on the KB1AEV Repeater System.  There very little radio reception from inside the building.  A quick walk to the top of the 4 story parking garage allowed for nice reception.   AB1LZ, Bill, was net control and processed the check-ins nicely.   There was some general disappointment that we got absolutely no rain from the remnants of Hurricane Hermine.

I closed the night with a nice CW QSO with Bob, K3ZGA from The Villages Florida.  We exchanged SKCC membership numbers and shared a 559 signal report both ways.   73, Phil
